Premier League: Alexis Sanchez's Late Goal Gives Manchester United 3-2 Victory Over Newcastle
Manchester United came from behind to beat Newcastle by 3-2, having conceded two early goals to Magpies at Old Trafford.
From the start, it seemed as if it was going to be another disappointing game for United, but after the break, they got the much deserved victory over their visitors, which was completed by Alexis Sanchez's header late into the game.
Early into the match, Newcastle stunned their hosts with an opening goal through Kennedy who was set off for a strike with a pass from Ayoze Perez, and in spite of challenge from Ashley Young, curled in the ball in 7th minutes.
The lead soon doubled through Yoshinori Muto who dribbled past the England international and sent in the ball with his left foot, three minutes after their opening goal.
After the break, United came close to getting a goal through Nemanja Matic but hit the ball over the bar from close range.
Juan Mata reduced the deficit for United in with sensation finish from a free-kick in 70th minutes, and six minutes later Anthony Martial equalized the lead with assisted from Paul Pogba.
Late into the game, Young crossed the ball into the area and Alexis Sanchez leaped to reach it and powered home the winning goal with a header.
United have found their winning streak after playing four games in all competitions without a win, which its manager Jose Mourinho has been criticised for.
