Marcos Alonso To Extend Contract With Chelsea By Month End

Marcos Alonso and Chelsea are in talks over extension of his contract with the club despite having two more years to run.
The Spain international joined the Premier League side from Fiorentina in 2016 and has scored four goals in 58 appearances with the club.
Alonso revealed in an interview with AS that he is "very calm and very happy at Chelsea" and believes it's the same with the club for offering him an extension despite having two years to go in his contract.
He added saying, "We are talking about it and the talks to renew are already advanced. If everything goes well, i think i will renew before the end of this months - in the coming days."
The 27-year-old joined from the Serie A side for £23 million, and at some points has been linked to Barcelona and his former club Real Madrid but declined to stay at Chelsea.
Speaking about his new contract and years he would have to spend with the club, he pointed his concerns is to "play as well as possible to win matches and titles" with the club.
