Marcos Alonso Extends Contract With Chelsea Until 2023
Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso has reportedly signed a new contract that will last until 2023.
The club director, Marina Granovskaia, in a statement confirmed contract extension with Alonso as she says, "we are delighted to be extending Marcos' contract. In the past two seasons he has developed into an important player for the club."
The Spaniard, 27, who joined the club from Serie A side Fiorentina also said about his new contract, "I am so happy to stay here longer and to keep playing for one of the best teams in the world."
Last season, he won the FA Cup with Chelsea a season after moving to the club in 2016, and has scored 15 goals in 92 appearances.
