LeBron James Breaks Dirk Nowitzki's Record As Spurs Come From Behind To Beat LA Lakers
Lakers were at their best performance from the first quarter until mid-way second quarter when Spurs became aggressive and gained control of game from fourth quarter (93:91) as Lakers continued to wane.
DeMar DeRon, 29, who joined Spurs from Toronto Raptors led his new team on the offensive against Lakers, he ended the game with 30 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists, trailing five points behind LeBron who dominated the score board.
"It's all about how you sustain it, how you throw that next punch back at them" says DeMar in post-match interview "Understand when you need a stop, when you need a bucket, and just keep building."
After the game, LeBron overtakes previous record set for NBA all-time scoring list by Dirk Nowitzki (31, 187) as his career scores total at 31,202 to occupy the sixth position trailing behind Wilt Chamberlain (31, 419), Michael Jordan (32,292), Kobe Bryant (33, 643), Karl Malone (36, 928) and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387).
