Conor McGregor Issued Routine Suspension From UFC On Medical Grounds
Conor McGregor has been suspended from the sport on medical grounds following his humiliating defeat to Russian fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov on Sunday.
Conor did not last longer than four rounds with Khabib whose rare fighting techniques had the former world champion convincingly defeated, as he tapped to indicate his consent to defeat when he was badly mauled by the Russian.
Nevada State Athletics Commission confirmed the issuance of a month routine suspension to the Irish fighter and to 13 others for medical reasons on Tuesday, which suggests they will have to stay away from every activities involving the sport until November 6.
After his fight Sunday, there was a confrontation between the Conor's team member and Khabib but was quickly resolved and the Russian was escorted out of the scene without his belt.
He later apologised for his misconduct blaming his Irish opponent for calling out his religion, family and his country at pre-match press conference.
