China Open 2018: Nikoloz Basilashvili Beats Edmund Kyle, Will Meet Juan del Potro In The Final

British no. 1 Edmund Kyle will not be playing in the final of China Open following his defeat to Georgian player Nikoloz Basilashvili in the semi-finals.
The 23-year-old fought hard at the first set against his opponent who was a bit ill, but lose the set after a tie-break. At the second set, the Goergian veteran seemingly cruised through to win both sets by 7-6(5), 6-3, to book his place in the final with Argentine Juan Martin del Potro.
Basilashvili admitted the semi-final match with Edmund was "very tough" for him because of headache he had at the start of the match before he later recovered, he says in post-match interview, "I managed to stay calm in the first sef even though I wasn't feeling so well."
It will be the second time 26-year-old has reached the final of tour 500-level final in 2018 - he last did in Hambury in July.
