Champions League: Liverpool Beat Red Star Belgrade 4-0 To Lead Group
Red Star Belgrade had a difficult game with Liverpool which had them well thrashed by 4-0 at Anfield stadium to stay atop Group C.
The Serb side barely had a shot at target throughout the game and were well contained and doninated over by Liverpool during which Mo Salah scored twice to complete his 50th goal with the club.
The visiting side conceded the first goal when Firmino slammed in the opener in 20th minutes with a cut-back from Robertson, and the lead was later widened by Mo Salah who finished a through pass from Shaqiri on the half time.
Upon their return frim break, Salah triple the lead from a penalty kick Sadio before Mane poked in the fourth goal to complete the victory for Liverpool.
The goal margin could have been wider but Salah failed to convert a spot kick conceded by Ben Nabouhane who headed a shot from free-kick to his arm.
The much deserved win put Liverpool in the top spot of their group with six points followed Napoli in second place, behind which is Neymar Jr.'s side Paris St-Germain while Red Star Belgrade stay in the bottom of the table.
