Champions League: Angel Di Maria's Late Goal Ends PSG Match With Napoli Match In 2-2 Draw
It almost seemed as Napoli have won the game before Argentine forward Angel Di Maria changed the tone of the game in injury time with an equaliser for Paris St-Germain as the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
The Serie A side could have won the match had their own Maria Rui not scored an own goal which equalised their led for the Ligue 1 side after Lorenzo Insigne had scored the opening goal in 29th minutes.
The unfortunate incident of Rui was corrected by Dries Mertens who stroke in a goal Napoli goal extended the lead by 2-1 after Fabian Ruiz's attempt was blocked.
Whilst the game was running in injury time, PSG's Di Maria drilled a left-footed shot from outside the box home to dragged the game into a 2-2 draw with Napoli.
The goal tie setteed Napoli in second place behind their English opponents Liverpool which top Group C with six points after 4-0 defeat of Serb side Red Star Belgrade.
