Barcelona: Lionel Messi Is Out For Three Weeks Due To Fractured Arm
Barcelona have ruled Lionel Messi out for three weeks following arm injury he sustained during their La Liga 4-2 match win over Sevilla on Saturday.
The Argentine, 31, had scored the second goal for his side in 12th minutes before he landed on his arm after a challenge with Sevilla midfielder Franco Vasquez.
The impact left Messi writhing on the pitch in discomfort and was replaced by Ousmane Dembele in 26th minutes.
Barcelona later confirmed that the forward will not make the team line-up for Champions League match against Inter Milan on Wednesday, and League match with Real Madrid on Sunday because the "radial bone in his right arm" has been damaged.
Meanwhile, that was the defending champions' first win in five league matches and have regained the top spot of the table with 18 points followed by Espanoyl in second place with 17 points.
