US Open 2018: Novak Djokovic Beats Aussie John Millman, Takes On Kei Nishikori In Semi-final
Novak Djokovic made it through the match with John Millman, winning in straight sets by 6-3 6-4 6-4 to book his place in the semi-final.
The Serb, 31, seemingly cruised through the quarter-final match with the unseeded Australian who upset five-time champion Roger Federer in R3 - an experience which was first of its kind for the Swiss at the tournament.
The 29-year-old played brilliantly against the two-time champion but could not match with the experience the Serb player, 31, brought into the game by keeping his forehand shots down the lines, preventing him from springing any surprises as he did against Federer.
"I personally have never sweat as much as I have here. Incredible," Djokovic said about unconducive weather condition at Flushing Meadow.
"I asked the chair umpire weather they are using some form of ventilation or air conditioning down at the court level, and he says that 'he's not aware of it.'"
The two-time champion is booked to meet Japanese player Kei Nishikori in the semi-final on Friday.
