Premier League: Watford Concede First Defeat Of The Season To Manchester United
It was another successful match for Manchester United which forced their hosts Watford to concede their first defeat of the season by 1-2 at Vicarage Road.
United's manager Jose Mourinho held their ground against pressure from Hornets early into the match but soon found their composure and opened the score-line through Romelu Lukaku who diverted a cross from Ashley Young with his chest in 35th minutes.
Hornets dropped further behind on the score board as Chris Smalling volleyed the ball into the net with a head pass from Fellaini in 38th minutes.
Andre Gray found a consolation goal for the hosts powering a shot through to the post in 65th minutes after Abdoulaye Doucoure located him with a cross inside the area.
In injury time, United's Nemanja Matic bagged a red card after committing wrong tackle that earned a second yellow card in 90th + 3 minutes.
However, Mourinho's side made away with maximum points from Vicarage road in their third match wins in five games played since the season commenced.
