Premier League: Daniel Sturridge's Stunning Late Goal Rescues Liverpool From Defeat To Chelsea
Liverpool fought back from behind to get a draw with Chelsea which had led the game until England international Daniel Sturridge fired a superb 25-yard for an equaliser on the brink of full time.
Chelsea recorded their opening goal through Eden Hazard who delivered a dazzling finish with a left-footed shot from the centre to give Chelsea the lead in 25th minutes.
Liverpool made several efforts to get an equaliser but all was to futility until late into the game when Daniel Sturridge curled a shot from outside the box through to the top left of the post to end the match in a draw.
On Wednesday, Jurgen Klopp's side was defeated 1-2 at home by Chelsea in EFL Carabao Cup match which was Reds first defeat of the season in all competitions.
Liverpool have now dropped to second place with 19 points behind defending champions Manchester City which are now atop the table.
