Ye started this campaign on Thursday when shared on his social media accounts conversations he had with the Head of Twitter Jack Dorsey, calling for changes to be made in this regards, which Jack asked if he could tweet what he just said to the public and he gladly accepted.
In another update, the 41-year-old went on to explained why he suggested that changes be made because of the impact that will have on users as he wrote, "We should be able to participate in social media without having to show how many followers or likes we have. Just like how we can turn off the comment we should be able to turn off the display of followers. This has an intense negative impact on our self worth."
In his subsequently social media updates, Ye maintained his opinion that "validation in the simulation" should not necessarily be public, and called out to all platform owners to organise "live-streamed meeting" over the issue he raised.
