Fifa Names Ronaldo, Modric And Salah As Finalists For 2018 Best Men's Player Award


FIFA has released the names of final contenders shortlisted for this year's Best Men's Player Award which includes Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric and Liverpool's Mo Salah.
The trio will be the names to be voted for by club managers, team captains and sport reporters for the award which will be announced at Royal Festival Hall, London on 24th September.
Two-time winner Ronaldo will be contending for his new club Juventus which he moved to in summer for £99 million from Real Madrid with which he won five (three consecutive) Champions League title.
Argentine and Barcelona forward Lionel Messi missed out on best men's player's list, but makes the list for Puskas Award for his contribution to his country's victory over Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Also shortlisted for finalists of Best Women's Player of the Years award is Norwegian Ada Hegerberg (lyon), Dzsenifer Marozsian of Germany (Lyon) and Brazilian Marta (Orlando Pride).
