EFL Carabao Cup: Chelsea End Liverpool's Unbeaten Run By 1-2
Liverpool conceded first defeat in all competitions since the start of the season to Chelse after losing 1-2 at Anfield Stadium to end their unbeaten run.
Chelsea came from behind to snatch the win off their opponents which had led the score-line after Daniel Sturridge hit the ball in from the centre of the box for an opener, before Emerson Palmieri responded with a finish from close range for an equaliser.
Reds were finally conceded defeat when Belgian international Eden Hazard dazzled through two defenders and wiped a right footed shot from inside the area to the post. That strike from the 27-year-old sealed the victory for Chelsea and dented Liverpool's unbeaten run in eight games.
The Maurizio Sarri's side remain unbeaten in competition since he replaced former manager Antoino Conte, and are in third position behind Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League table.
