DJ Khaled, Jay-Z/Beyonce Dole Out $100K In Scholarship To Students At "On The Run II" Concert In Miami
It turned to be a great night for two concertgoers - Emily and Jonathan both who were members of Miami Boys and Girls Club - at the "OTR II" show in Miami who were recipients of $100,000 (£77.1K) scholarship from Shawn Carter Foundation and DJ Khaled.
Khaled stepped up onstage midway the show to make a surprise announcement of winners of scholarships at the concert which were chosen based on their performance at the college considering their CGPA.
In a clip of the presentation from the concert posted online, Khaled described the fund as a surprise package for the young world from Jay-Z and Beyoncé's Shawn Carter Foundation and himself for his home city, Miami.

The pair were stunned and speechless after their names were mentioned as the prize winners and could not hide their amazement to have gained funds to further their education as they responded to question asked about their next move saying "thank you so much".
Emily, who received all-inclusive expense paid scholarship of $100,000 from the Carter foundation, finished at the university with GPA of 3.0 and is aspiring to be a police officer with Bachelor degree in Marketing.
On the other hand, Khaled's prize recipient Jonathan wants to proceed to MIT for a degree in Electrical Engineering.
