Colin Kaepernick Signs New Deal With Nike, Becomes New Face Of "Just Do It" Campaign
Colin Kaepernick struggles against social injustice have never been smooth nor easy, but things are beginning to worth it after nailing a new deal with sportswear manufacturing giant Nike.
The new deal signed the former San Francisco 49ers quarter-back and now a free-agent, will see him become the new face of the brand "Just do It" campaign
In retrospect, the player initiated the 'knee protest' in the NFL that soon become very serious issue, such that it got the attention of the United States President Donald J. Trump who described his protest as unpatriotic, and labelled anyone involved in protest against the country's National Anthem as "Sons of B***hes" in a tweet.
However, that did not prevent the brand which already has an on-going deal with the player from making him the new face of their campaign on its 30th anniversary.
Colin also confirmed the development in an update on his social media account, captioning a picture update with words of courage as he writes "Believe in Something. Even if it means sacrificing everything. Just do it."
The 30-year-old free agent has not been able to join another league since he was fired by his former league which he alleged in his lawsuit has colluded with others preventing him from signing to a new side.
