Best Fifa Football Award: Luka Modric Wins Best Male Player
Croatia and Real Madrid forward Luka Modric has been named as the winner of Men's Best Fifa Player of the Year Award at the Best Fifa Football Award ceremony which was organised at Royal Albert Hall in London.
The 33-year-old won the world's best male player over arch contenders in the persons of his former team mate and Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Liverpool's Egyptian striker Mo Salah.
Modric recieved the award for his contributions to his country's successful outing at the just completed 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia, leading his national team to their first world final in history which the lost to France.
Also, Modric also contributed to his club's three consecutive Champions League title under tgeir former manager Zinedine Zidane.
