Samuel Eto'o Helped Struggling Ex Cameroonian Player Norbert Owona With Hospital Bill, Feeding
Struggling former Cameroonian captain Norbert Owona found help from least expected source he woukd think of in the person of former Barcelona forward and Qatar League player Samuel Eto'o.
It has not been easy for Norbert since his retirement from international football and has been living in what a condition next to homelessness in his country.
The ex international resides in a middle class neighbourhood in Douala, but since he lost his family to an accident, it has never been the same, and upon that, he has not been unhealthy unable to get aid from the government or the the country's FA.
In the middle of the precarious situation, he was stunned to receive Eto'o as a guest whilst he laid hopeless on his sick bed on a Sunday afternoon.
On that visit, the Qatar player handed the sum of 500,000 CFA (£685) to Norbert to have his health and himself look after, and assured him he would be of help to him in many other areas to get his life back on track.
"Last Sunday, I had the surprise of the life. Samuel Eto'o came to visit me," said Norbert "after his match in Qatar he took a flight to come to my sick bed side. A great man who had never known me. He gave me the sum of 500,000FCFA for my feeding, and promised to assist in everything I need."
