Mission: Impossible - Fallout Dominates Box Office For Second Weekend, Reaches £329 Million In Gross Globally
Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible - Fallout maintains it dominance at the box office for second weekend hauling in $35 million (£27m), bringing it total domestic gross to $124.4 million (£95.6m).
That was not all with the Chris McQuarrie directed film as it maintained strong performance international market surpassing $200 million mark in second weekend to bring it global gross to $329.4 million (£329.4m), and remains the 56-year-old actor's career highest grossing franchise ever.
The action-pack thriller has by its globally performance in just two weekends, reached half of the life time record set by it predecessor Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol ($694.7 million, 2011), and its domestic gross conveniently beat that of Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation ($195 million, 2015) in domestic market.
During the shooting of scene from the film in London, there were incidence of injuries from jump stunts that led to Cruise being flew back to the United States culminating in production delay.
However, the results coming in are something to smile about for Paramount Pictures which budgeted $178 million for the film, and as it now that has been well surpassed in just two weekends.
