Formula 1: Red Bull Replaces Daniel Ricciardo With Pierre Gasly
Red Bull's driver Daniel Ricciardo is to be replaced by French driver Pierre Gasly as the Aussie is set to leave the team for Renault.
Early this month, Ricciardo indicated his intentions to leave Red Bull for Renault as he said in a statement that he deemed it is "time for me to take on a fresh and new challenges".
The Aussie's replacement is Red Bull's junior team Toro Rosso, who display a stunnkng performance in Bahrain GP to finish in fourth position behind Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton (3rd) and Valterri Bottas (2nd) and Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel topped in first place.
"This incredible opportunity is another step forward in my ambition," said Pierre on joining Red Bull's senior team "Red Bull has always looked to fight for Championship or victories and that's what I want."
The 22-year-old Frenchman will joined Red Bull's Dutch driver Max Verstappen on the grid from next season.
