England Considering Bidding To Host 2030 World Cup
The English FA reportedly is considering making a move to present a bid for the country to contend for hosting right of FIFA 2030 World Cup.
The Chairman of the FA Greg Clarke in a statement confirmed the body's intentions to bid, as he revealed that it is currently carrying out "feasibility work" and made it clear position on this would not be announced until 2019.
"Last month the English FA board agreed to conduct feasibility work into the possibility of putting itself forward to be UEFA's potential candidate to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup," said Greg "This work will take place during the new season and no decision will be made until 2019."
The tournament has not been hosted in England since 1966, and now that it is anticipating to bring the tournament to its borders, it will face other contenders like Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria jointly bidding and Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay also jointly bidding to host the tournament.
England contested against Qatar for hosting 2022 World Cup but loss the bid to it rival and now it will be the only European candidate amongst the contenders 2030 World Cup should it bided.
