Eden Hazard To Miss Chelsea's FA Community Shield Match With Manchester City
Eden Hazard will miss Chelsea's match with Manchester City at the FA Community Shield on Sunday, following his request to extend his break until Monday.
The Fifa 2018 World Cup bronze was meant to join the team for the Charity match but asked the club's new manager Maurizio Sarri for a permission to stay longer on his summer break.
According to Sky Sports, Sarri in a statement confirmed his midfielder, 27, will not be playing with the team, and that has nothing to do with his link move to Real Madrid.
"We talked only about 'can I arrive on Monday instead of Sunday?'" said Sarri dismissing having discussion on link move to Bernabeu with Hazard "In this moment there is no problem for Hazard."
However, prior to the kick of the Fifa 2018 World Cup in Russia, the Belgian whose contract with Chelsea runs until 2020 has been rumoured to be linked to Real Madrid.
