Athletic Bilbao's Kepa Arrizabalaga Pays Release Of £71.6 Million In Link Move To Chelsea

Chelsea are very close to securing the transfer of Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga as he has paid for his release clause the sum of £71.6 million as stipulated in his contract with his club.
On completion of his transfer, Kepa will be a replacement for Thibaut Courtois who has failed to return to the club owing to a link move to Real Madrid.
The Spanaird, 23, is reportedly set to be in London on Wednesday for his medical ahead of the closing date for Premier League transfer window on Thurday.
Eventually, Kepa's contract will set a new record for most expensive transfer for a goalkeeper which was previous held by Allison Becker who joined Liverpool in July for £66.8 million.
