Wimbledon 2018: Rafael Nadal Knocks Out Alex De Minaur, Reaches Fourth Round To Retain No. 1 ATP Ranking
Rafael Nadal has reached the fourth round of the tournament after an impressive defeat over Australia's Alex De Minaur.
The Spaniard, 33, gave no rooms to threats from the Aussie in their first ATP FedEx encounter and conveniently knock him out in straight sets 6-1 6-1 6-4.
Having won the match, Nadal is guaranteed of retaining his standing in the ATP world ranking as number one which will be published on July 16.
Speaking about the match, Nadal expressed his delight at retaining his standing in ATP ranking saying, "Of course, I prefer to be No. 1 than No. 2, no doubt about that. But I really didn't come here to hold No. 1. I just came here to try to do the best tournament possible. Of course, is very possible to be already in the second seek, winning three matches."
