Wimbledon 2018: Angelique Kerber Beats Serena William To Claim First Title On Centre Court

It was an historic moment for Angelique Kerber at Wimbledon, winning her first title on the Centre Court makes her the second German to reach the feat.
She denied seven-time champion Serena Williams from winning her first title since her return to court after giving birth to her first child Alexis Jr.

The world number 10 dominated the match through out, with brilliant shots from her forehand she kept the American in control to claim the title after winning in straight sets 6-3 6-3.
The 11th seeded, 30, has become the second German to win a title at the Championship after Steffi Grat in 1996, and claimed her second match win over Serena in eight tour level encounters.
