Walt Disney And 21st Century Fox Shareholders Agree On Merger

Walt Disney and 21st Century Fox close in on securing a deal as shareholders of both parties have agreed on merger.
On Friday, representatives of the two company held a meeting over the bidding in the excess of $71 billion, and as it is presently, there seemed to be nothing standing in the way of Disney after 99% of Fox's shareholders favoured its bidding.
Previously, it seemed more like Disney's competitor Comcast would come atop in the bid for Fox, but it later conceded because it could not better on its bidding after its offer of all-cash payment of $65 billion in takeover bid of the company was rejected.
What is left in the merger process now is with the United States regulators which are looking into the deal to ensure due process is followed and rules are kept
The acquisition will see Disney control substantial part of 21st Century Fox and that includes franchises such as X-Men, Avatar, Planet of Apes, Predator and Die Hard.
