Sevilla's Clement Lenglet Joins Barcelona For £32 Million With Buy-out Clause of £265M
Sevilla's centre-back Clement Lenglet has signed to a five-year contract of £32 million (€35.9m) with FC Barcelona on Thursday.
The French international contract also included a buy-out clause of £265m (€300m) which Nou Camp side doled out for his release from Sevilla.
According to statement released by Barca, Lenglet's signing is strategic to strengthing their defense because he will "complete the spectacular" players like Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti and Thomas Vermaelen in the centre-back.
The 23-year-old moved to Sevilla from France's Ligue 2 side Nancy in 2017 and scored four goals in 52 appearances.
