Russia 2018 World Cup: France Are The World Champions, Defeat Croatia 4-2 To Win The Trophy For The Second Time

After twenty years, France have done it again by claiming the victory over Croatia winning 4-2 in the final to lift the World Cup trophy for a second-time since France 1998. 
France did not allow their opponents' forwards Modic and Rakitic from springing any surprises, and capitalized on making quick breaks to have them sunk to claim the victory. 
Antoine Griezmann's free-kick which Mario Mandzukic deflected into the post with a header opened the score-line for France in 18th minutes before Croatia's Ivan Perisic drilled a shot home for an equalizer in 28th minutes. 
Croatia went down a goal deficit by the ended of the first half after Ivan Perisic conceded a penalty which Griezmannn converted for second goal to France in 38th minutes.

After the break, Paul Pogba smashed a left-footed shot home from the edge of the box in 58th minutes and Kylian Mbappe completed the victory for France powering a 25-yard shot through to the post in 65th minutes. 
Croatia tried to make up for the deficit but could only get a consolation goal in 68th minutes through Mario Mandzukic.
