Russia 2018 World Cup: Croatia Knock Out Hosts Russia, Set To Face England In Semi-final

Croatia will definitely be facing England in the semi-final after they managed to make it through a tough match with the host team which have been eliminated from the tournament after a shootout.
Russia did not fall easily for their opponents which they had led until a comeback that left them fighting to stay in the tournament, but only to be shown the exit doors after a penalty shootout.
Denis Cheryshev put the hosts in the lead in 31st minutes when he smashed a left-footed curl shot through to the post before Croatia responded through Andrej Kramaric header home the ball from Mandzukic's cross in 39th minutes.

Match winner had to be decider in shootout when Mario Fernando's header on Alan Dzageov's cross injury time (ET 25th minutes) equalized Croatia's lead from Domagoj Vida's goal with a header in injury time ET 11th minutes.

Unfortunately for Russia, Croatia goalkeeper saved Fyodor Smolov and Mario Fernando's penalties whilst Rakitic netted the decider for Croatia to book their place in the semi-final.
They will face England in the semi-finals on Wednesday July 11.
