Roger Federer Signs 10-Year Deal Worth £300 Million With Japan's Athletic-wear Co. Uniqlo
Tennis ace Roger Federer has left Nike Inc. for Japanese casual clothing brand Uniqlo which he signed a ten-year deal worth £300 million.
This development was confirmed by Chief executive of Fast Retailing Co., a subsidiary of Uniqlo, Yadashi Yanai, who in a statement affirmed that the comany has entered into a deal with the player, and intended that their "partnership will be about innovation on and off court" but did not disclose details of the contract between both parties.
At the Swiss also was spotted in Uniqlo's outfit as he entered the court for his opening match at Wimbledon which was indicative of being under a contract as against his regular from Oregon-based sports clothing company, Beaverton.
Japan's Kishikiro is another player who has a deal with the clothing line, and also Novak Djokovic until last when he signed new contract with Lacoste.
