Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez Joins Manchester City For £60 Million
Riyad Mahrez has joined Manchester City after signing to his club's record deal of £60 million for five years to leave Leicester City on Tuesday.
The Algerian, 27, joined Leicester from Ligue 1 side Le Havre for £400,000 in 2014, and after winning the Premier League with the club, he was named PFA Player's Player of the Year 2015/16.
Speaking about moving to Etihad, the Algeria international as a "perfect" choice because City are one of the clubs that are presently "redefining" the League which he has conveted "watching them from afar."
He went on to say, "Pep Guardiola is committed to playing attacking football, and City's performance last season were outstanding...I believe my own game can develop under Pep's management."
The winger made 179 appearances for Leicester, scoring 48 goals and won Premier League with the club in 2015/16.
