LeBron James Opens An Ultra-modern School In His Hometown For At-risk Pupils
L.A Lakers player LeBron James is doing something really worth applauding in his hometown Akron such that will make a huge difference in the life of many especially pupils.
The NBA four-time MVP winner built an ultra-modern school, purposefully designed for at-risk students who are lagging behind in their studies and those from tough background.
The former Cavaliers player announced it opening to his followers on the internet with a picture update to his social media platform, and that has attracted a lot of reactions from many celebrities.
The project began in 2017, when Lakers player approach the Akron school board through his LeBron James Family Foundation on how he could help the school and its struggling pupils and both parties came up with an idea of a joint venture "I Promise School".
The facility finally launch on Monday, with the capacity of accomodating 240 at-risk pupils, all on the account of the NBA player's LeBron James Family Foundation.
The school in a tweet confirmed it has started operation, sharing a picture of it member of staff with a caption that reads as "Our #IPROMISE School staff are all gathering around the school to great @King James kids as they arrive for the 1st day @9am! #WeAreFamily."

In me interview with Los Angeles Times that the school principal Brandi Davis, explained the goal of 'I Promise School', that its mission is to help fix the "missing link public education" as it concerns the families the pupils are from.
He explained further that they intend to assist their students who "come to school and they're worried about things at home" by providing an environment suitable for learning where "kids can focus on education".
