Hungarian Grand Prix 2018: Lewis Hamilton Wins, Extends Lead Over Sebastian Vettel
Lewis Hamilton has claimed his fifth win of the season and his sixth in Hungarian to maintain a strong lead over Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel in World Championship race.
The defending champion blasted off in the lead from the start and controlled the race through to finish quickest in first place, and Vettel took second place ahead of Kimi Raikkonen who claimed podium position in third place.
However, there was a bit of drama near the end of the race when the fight for front line position got heated on, there was a collision between Sebastian Vettel and Mercedes' Valterri Bottas who later in the closing lap collided with Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo before settling in fifth position behind the Australian.
"Thank you to everyonve here and back at the factory. A tough weekend for us but we've got some good points." said the Brit and defending champion after winning his sixth Hungarian GP.
He later added saying, "What a beautiful day - we deserve the holiday that's coming. I'm not a 'lay down on the beach type of guy' will be doing activities and training."
Hamilton now lead comfortably in first place over Sebastian Vettel with 213:189 points in driver standing for the World Championship.
