English Football League Is Set To Introduce Use Of VAR In Top Flight Matches

The use of Video Assistant Referee VAR might be introduced into the English Football League following a statement from its executive chairman Shaun Harvey.
The electronic device was used throughout the 2018 World Cup in Russia, and vital role it played i  resolving controversial moments during the tournament can not be overemphasied.
Harvey's position on the use of the device does not really mean in every Premier League matches except in top flight matches because there is presently not enough capacity to achieve that
"We don't have the TV cameras in place that are standard fare now at Premier League clubs," he said.
He went on to point out that it will required that some improvement be made in the aspect of officiating as he said, "one of our bigger concerns, is around match officials and the staffing of it."
Explaining how it will be used he said "We need the best official we have got out live on a Saturday afternoon with a whistle or a flag...The primary focus has got to be getting them out into the middle."
Actually, VAR was used first used in football in FA Cup match between Brighton and Crystal Palace in January before it was used in the Fifa 2018 World Cup in Russia.
