Cristiano Ronaldo To Pay £2.8 Million In Tax Evasion Settlement, Gets Two Years Prison Sentence

Cristiano Ronaldo has been fined £2.8 million for tax evasion after securing a deal with Spanish authority over the case.
The former Real Madrid forward, in a court case was alleged of defrauding the system in unpaid tax to the tune of about £13 million for which he has been facing two years prison sentence.
Now that the Portuguese has been able to work things out with the authorities and agreed to pay £2.8 million case settlement deal, his 24 month prison sentence will be reduced to probation according Spanish law which allows sentence under two years to be served as probation instead. 
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was alleged of wilful declaration of wrong of his income; he declared £10.2 million instead of £38.2 million he actually earned between 2011-14.
The 33-year-old recently signed to four years contract of £88 million with Juventus after spending nine years at Bernabue (2009-18), and won with the club four Champions League titles and two La Liga titles.
