British Grand Prix 2018: Sebastian Wins As Hamilton Recovers From Collision To Finish In Second Place
Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel claimed the victory as Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton made a stunning recovery from a collision in the first lap to finish in second place at Silverstone Circuit.
Valterri Bottas (Mercedes) led the race until Sebastian superbly overtook him in eight laps to go and Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen later sped past the Finnish driver to finish in second and third place behind Sebastian who won the race.
Mercedes technical crew's decision not to pit their drivers for first safety car intervention after Hamilton had collision worked out given the Briton the chance to quickly move up in position to third before finishing in second place, but Bottas could not keep the pace to make podium with Hamilton and finished fourth.
The race win gave Sebastian the lead in the world championship with 171 points over Lewis Hamiton who is in second place with 163 points.
