Austrain GP 2018: Max Verstappen Claims Victory As Sebastian Vettel Overtakes Hamilton In Championship Lead
Red Bull's Max Verstappen won his first race title of the year as Lewis Hamilton was forced to retire due to low fuel pressure late into the race.
The Dutch driver sped off after snatching the lead and crossed the finished line in 1:21:56.026sec as Ferrari drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel joined him in podium position in second and third place respectively.
Hamilton dominated the race from start leading in front by 13 seconds until he pitted at 26th lap and dropped to fourth behind Kimi Raikkonen, as Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel took the lead, but the German driver was soon overtaking by Verstappen when he pitted at 36th lap , hence he led through to the finish line.
As a result, Hamilton has dropped by just a point (146) behind Vettel who leads with 146 points in contest for the world Championship.
