Russia 2018 World Cup: Paul Pogba Scores Winning Goal As France Beat AUstralia 2-1

France made an impressive debut at the on-going World Cup in Russia as they went away with the win after beating Australia 2-1 in their Group C opening match.
France were well contained in the first 45 minutes of play by Australia until the tune of the match changed upon their return from break.
Careless tackle from Aussie Josh Risdon on Antoine Griesmann in the box led to a spot kick being awarded to the Frenchman which he converted to give his side the lead in 55th minutes, and that was followed by another careless defensive play from France's Samuel Umtiti who got his arm to the ball in the box which Mile Jedinak converted to for an equaliser in 61th minutes.

Late into the match, Paul Pogba snatched the victory for France as he poked the ball from 18-yard over Australia goalkeeper Mat Ryan only to drop just right behind the line off the crossbar in 81th minutes.
Having won the match, France lead the Group C table with three points, and in next match will face Peru and Australia will take on Denmark on Thursday.
