Russia 2018 World Cup: Kylian Mbappe Scores Twice To Lead France Through To Quater-finals After 4-3 Win Over Argentina

Unfortunately, Argentina have been knocked out of the tournament after losing to France in the knock out stage by 4-3.
France were up to the task with the Argentina with a very strong midfield and dangerous strikes from 19-year-old Kylian Mbappe who sank the South Americans scoring twice to claim the victory for France.
Angel Di Maria equalised for Argentina
France blasted off into the lead through Antoine Griezmann who converted the penalty conceded on Kylian Mbappe in 13th minutes, and late into the first half, Angel Di Maria smashed a 30-yard shot through to the post for an equalizer for Argentina in 41th minutes.
After the break, Mercado netted put Argentina in the lead in 48th minutes but Benjamin Pavard drilled a shot from 20-yard through to the net to level the score-line for France in 57th minutes.
Kylian Mbappe scored the winning goal for France from Giroud's through pass
The French side did not give Argentina the privilege to enjoy the even for long as Mbappe drilled a shot from close range in 64th minutes and topped it up after Giroud set him off with through pass which he smashed in with his right foot to put France in comfortable lead over their opponents by 4-2.
Sergio Aguero headed in consolation goal for Argentina from Messi's cross
Late into the match, Lionel Messi brilliantly crossed the ball through for a header and Sergio Aguero got his head to it and scored in 93rd minutes to reduce the lead to 4-3.
However, France ensured the lead was kept through to the final whistle and had the Argentines knocked out of the tournament.
Paris St-Germain's forward Kylian Mbappe becomes the first teenager to score twice in a match at the World Cup since 1998 as France are through to the quarter-finals.
