Russia 2018 World Cup: Iran Manager Carlos Queiroz Calls Out Nike For Not Supplying Boots To His Team

Iran national team manager Carlos Queiroz has demanded from the US sportswear manufacturer Nike, for failing to supply boots to his team for the Russia 2018 World Cup.
Queiroz called the firm's decision to not supply boots to his 23-men squad as "arrogant" and "ridiculous and unnecessary" in response to a statement released by the sportswear manufacturer for its reasons to do so.
Nike said in a statement that the "US sanctions mean that, as a US company, Nike cannot supply shoes to players in the Iranian National team at this time."
Queiroz maintained that footwear maker in a discussion was wrong as he said in a discussion with Sky Sports that "it has been a source of inspiration for us. This last comment of Nike was, in my personal view, an unnecessary statement. Everybody is aware about the sanctions."
Stating reasons for requesting for an apology he said "They should  and apologize this arrogant conduct against 23 boys is absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary."
Iran will have to find a way to sort out issues with boots for their players who will face Morocco in their Group B opening match on Friday.
