Russia 2018 World Cup: Cristiano Ronaldo's Header Sends Morocco Out After Losing 1-0 To Portugal
Portugal managed through a tough game with Morocco which are technically out of the tournament after losing their second match at the 2018 World Cup.
The African side were very impressive and attacking after going one goal down from Cristiano Ronaldo's strike early into the match.
The Real Madrid forward netted his fourth goal of the tournament for Portugal with a dive header to a cross from Joao Moutinho in 4th minutes.
Before Portugal came under serious pressure from Morocco for almost the rest of the match, in 9th minutes Ronaldo attempted doubling the lead with a shot that missed the post by inches.
All effort from Morocco to level the deficit proved futile in spite of Younes Belhanda having multiple chances which he could not finish.
Portugal are now guaranteed a place in the round of 16 whilst the Moroccan will be heading home after playing their last match against Spain on Monday June 25th.
