Russia 2018 World Cup: Argentina Escapes Exit By A Whisker After 2-1 Win Over Nigeria

Argentina narrowly made it through to the knock out after a tough match with Nigeria which they won by a whisker won 2-1.

Late into the match, Marco Rojo who was right positioned in the box, settled the status quo and brilliantly smashed a cross from Gabriel Mercado in the post for the winning goal in 86th minutes.
The win gave Argentina the maximum points much needed to get them through to the round of 16 alongside with Croatia which topped Group D with nine points.
Eventually, Nigeria and Iceland which are making their first appearance in the World Cup are eliminated from the tournament.
