French Open 2018: Simona Halep Reaches Semi-final As Diego Schwartzman Leads Rafael Nadal Before Match Suspension


Argentina's Diego Schwartzman left world no.1 Rafael Nadal stunned as he leads in the quarter-finals match by 4-6 5-3 before the umpire suspended the game until Thursday.
The 25-year-old was remarkable with shots and response time to drop shots from Nadal, keeping to the baseline of the court, he snatched the control of the game of Nadal at the first set and won.

At the second set, the Argentine break the set after Nadal had won the first game at 1-3, and almost forcing the Spaniard to defensive play before the match was stopped due to rain, which upon recall the world no. 1 aggressively took over the game to lead by 5-3 and at the point the umpire called it off for the day at 7:30pm until Thursday.
World no.1 Simona Halep is bidding for her first title at Roland Garros 
In women's event, Romanian Simona Halep defiled dropping a set to beat German Angelique Kerber in three sets 6-7 (2-7) 6-3 6-2 to reach the semi-finals at Roland Garros.
Halep could not stop the German from winning opener in spite levelling up at 5-5, but that changed at the second set which she well controlled to win, bringing the match to a decider which was to her advantage.
After successfully making through to the semi-final, Halep admitted the world no. 12 has not always been one easy to beat as she says "it's always a tough match when I play against her. I just stayed strong and didn't give up...I changed the tactics a bit and it worked."
The 26-year-old who is bidding for her first title at Roland Garros will face in the semi-finals former champion and Spaniard Garbine Muguruza.
