Diego Maradona Confirms He's "Fine" After Being Hospitalised During Argentina Match Win Over Nigeria At The World Cup

Argentine football legend Diego Maradona has recovered from his ill-health during  his country's narrow match victory over Nigeria at the World Cup.
The 57-year-old was attended to by paramedic in the box for what was believed to be a drop in his blood pressure before he was taking to the hospital for further check on his health on Tuesday.
He was seen rejoicing after the team managed to slid in the winning goal through Marco Rojo late into the match that saw them through to the knock out stage of the tournament.
In a statement released by the former Barcelona and Napoli star on Instagram, he revealed he declined an instruction from a doctor during the match who asked him to left the stadium and go home.
" I want to tell everyone that I am fine. I was checked by a doctor and he recommended me to go home before second half, but I want to stay because we were risking it all. How could I leave?" he says.
Argentina won the match eventually after Nigeria had equalized from a penalty conceded on Leon Balogun, and will joined Croatia which topped Group D with nine points in the round of last 16.
