Britain's Richest Man Jim Ratcliffe Offers £2Bn To Buy Over Chelsea FC From Roman Abramovic

Chelsea FC may have put on hold indefinitely the construction of its new £1bn stadium with 60,000 seaters capacity, and that does not in any way suggest the owner Roman Abramovic is ready to let go of the club he bought 15 years ago for £140 million.
The Russian did not waste time in rejecting an advance to buy the club over for £2bn made by Britain's richest man Jim Ratcliffe who is also a season ticket holder at the club and a Manchester United supporter - he is valued worth over £21 billion according to Sunday Times rich list.

An unnamed close source to Jim said that the billionaire and Switzerland's FC Lausanne owner was ready to dole out billions of pounds to buy the club perhaps its owner wants to sell the it.
"Shelling out £2bn or so seem like a drop in the ocean for Jim but at the moment he is torn about what to do," the source claimed.
It was learned that the club's decision to stop works on its new stadium has been misunderstood as the Russian readiness to cut ties with the club, and has culminated in offers being made from interested investors even from China - Abramovic declined all the offers made.

Abramovic's visa renewal issues is following diplomatic tension between the UK government and its Russian counterpart over the poisoning of two Russians Sergei Skripal and Yulia in Salisbury which the Russian government has been blamed for.
