Amazon Wins Three Years Broadcast Right To Show Premier League Matches
Premier League matches will now be available to watch on Amazon after it has purchased its first television right package to broadcast the matches with commencement from 2019.
The three years package will allow the online streaming platform to show 20 Premier League matches a season means including mid-week fixtures and all 10 games on Boxing Day on it network.
The right bought by the online network is amongst two remaining broadcast rights after BT Sport had bought a package for £90 million and Sky Sport doled out £3.57bn for four packages.
In total, 52 matches will be available to watch on Amazon Prime while BT Sport has 20 matches and Sky Sport has the largest chunk with 112 matches including Staurday.
