Madrid Open: Thiem Dominic Knocks Out Rafael Nadal In The Quarter-Finals
Rafael Nadal has suffered his first defeat in 51 matches to Dominic Thiem as he was ousted out of the tournament by the Austrian in the quarter final.
Dominic, 24, took down the Spaniard in straight sets 7-5 6-3 which lasted for over two hours.
In the first set, Rafael was bedevilled by unforced errors which paved the way to the Austrain surging ahead and as eventually won the match.
Dominic has remainec one commendable player on clay-court against the Spaniard, as he is the last player to beat him on clay-court since 2017 in the quarter-finals of Rome Open.
