Madrid Open: Rafael Nadal Sets New Record For Unbeaten Run

Rafael Nadal has reached a remarkable feat in his career as he remained unbeaten in 50 consecutive matches, upsetting a 34-year-old record set by United States' John McEnroe.
The world no. 1 set the new record after he successfully defeat Argentina's Diego Schwartzman in straight sets 6-3 6-4 in the third round of Madrid Open.
MeEnroe's 1984 record for 49th consecutive run was obertaking Rafael after he reached the quarter final on Thursday. 
The Spaniard, 31, who is makingbcomebavk from injury has gone 50 matches without dropping a set and his currently set for his sixth title in Madrid and third tournament win of the year.
