Jay-Z Explains Why Testifying In SEC Investigation Could Only Be For One Day

The Securities and Exchange Commission request to have Jay-Z testify in its investigation of Iconix Brand Group transaction with Rocawear is no problem, but the truth is time is really of the essence to him considering his many commitments.
The '4:44' rapper was issued a court order by a New York District Court Judge to testify before the court on May 8th, over the transaction between Iconix and Rocawear that worth over $200 million back in 2007 which SEC investigators wants to know more about.
According ti TMZ, the twist to discrepancy over time is that a Judge set a date for preliminary testimony for May 11, and Jay wants the SEC and the court to understand that having to appear more once as previously stipulated "will impair the work of many individuals and entities who are preparing for the tour," and in addition that will have an impact on his "own work in preparation for the tour ."
SEC had previously explained that the order to have him testify before the court "does not reflect a determination by the SEC or its staff that Carter has violated provisions of the federal securities laws at issue in the investigation."
Iconix Brand Group purchased sunstantial part of Rocawear clothing line that worth over $200 million in 2007.
